Board of Advisors
The TCN Advisory Board is comprised of key members of New England’s entrepreneurial, investor, academic, political and service communities and provides critical thought leadership and feedback to the TCN Board of Directors and the TCN Program Line Managers. As part of the TCN Community, the Advisory Board uses its passion about the value of entrepreneurship to help foster the growth of New England's broader innovation economy.
Margaret Lawrence Margaret is on the management team of Google's Healthcare Online Sales organization. In this role, she manages teams that support Google clients using search, display ad, mobile ad, YouTube and GoogleTV products. Prior to Google, she was a Partner at Pilot Ventures, a Boston-based early stage venture capital firm. Margaret has been part of the investing team in a number of technology companies including Camiant, Qualtre, Stoke and PeerApp. Prior to joining Pilot House, Margaret was with Chestnut Partners, a Boston-based merchant banking/venture capital firm that invests in and provides financial advisory work to early-stage software companies. At Chestnut, Margaret worked in partnership with management teams though all stages of their business, to increase speed to market and enhance opportunities for financing. She was also part of the team that invested in iAtlas (sold to AltaVista/CMGI) and Africana.com (sold to AOLTimewarner). Previously, she was a product manager at Verizon Wireless. Margaret began her career at Lehman Brothers where she focused on mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Margaret currently serves on the Board of Directors of SupplyScape and works closely with Camiant. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Williams College and a Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
