Melissa Sampson McMorrow is the chair of the Tax Department and co-chair of Nutter Charitable Advisors. She advises businesses, tax-exempt entities and individuals on federal, state and international matters.
Melissa specializes in advising charitable, other nonprofit organizations, and their affiliates on a wide range of issues related to tax exemption and nonprofit status. She frequently represents these entities, and other taxpayers, before the Internal Revenue Service, state revenue authorities, state charity officials, and other state and local authorities. Melissa also regularly advises donors in developing and optimizing their charitable giving goals.
Erin M. Anderman is an associate in the Business Department. She focuses her practice on corporate and securities law matters, counseling public and private companies in financing transactions, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance issues. Erin represents clients in a broad range of industries, including life sciences, financial services, and technology.
Erin has experience representing both underwriters and public and private companies in connection with initial and secondary public offerings and private placements, advising early stage companies on formation and angel and venture financing, and counseling investment companies regarding ongoing reporting requirements and governance issues.
