Founders, want to get real-time feedback from angel investors without the pressure of a formal pitch session? Wondering how coronavirus will impact startup fundraising? Want to get some clarity on market strategy, resources, and fundraising tips?
The Capital Network is hosting an online Q&A session with experienced angel investors to give you the opportunity to ask your burning questions on building and running your startup — all from the comfort of your own computer or mobile device!
Who should sign up?
Entrepreneurs who are building a scalable startup and are looking for advice on how to get to the next step are encouraged to sign up. Typical issues that are discussed include: when is the right time to get external funding, how to approach angel investors, what makes for a compelling pitch deck, how to create an advisory board, how to validate our concept, determine your total addressable market, etc
I have an idea, but haven’t gone much past the idea stage, is this a good place to get some feedback?
The first step is the idea. However, you won’t get the feedback you need if you join with just an idea. Check out TCN’s other programs or the many community events that Boston has to offer to learn more about building a business. Engage with others about your idea, test it with potential customers, and then come back to TCN’s ‘Ask An Angel’.
Am I pitching for funding during this session?
No! This is a Q&A session with angel investors, not a pitch session. While you will tell the angel investors about what you are working on, this call is NOT a screening for investors to potentially invest in your company.
What do I need to prepare?
You will want to have a 30-second pitch prepared that identifies your target market, establishes the need for your solution, and describes your solution briefly. You’ll also want to have 1-2 questions that have been keeping you up at night that you think experienced investors might be able to help you with.
How many entrepreneurs can join this session?
We only open up 10 spots for this session. It’s first come first served! You can join to answer questions, or you can just sit back and listen in. You’ll find listening to other founders get their burning questions answered will help you better run your business and be more prepared too!
