EVENT HELD IN PARTNERSHIP WITH:
A Demo Day… With A Twist!
We love founders, but we don’t love typical Demo Days - they tend to focus more on performance than individuals. So we’re trying something a little different!
We’ve asked fellows to bring a champion along to the event, someone who believes in them and their business. We’re also partnering with Scroobious (a platform created by one of our 2020 Fellows Allison Byers) for fellows to record a 5 minutes pitch video investors can review ahead of time.
Why have a champion and a video? So the founders won’t need to worry about pitching live & or being the only one up there. They’ll have a trusted Champion in their corner introduce them and ask them questions during a brief Q&A.
Investors will get to know a bit more about the business and their leaders and why their champion believes so strongly in it and its leader. This should be a joyous event to make that 1st connection as simple and supportive as it should be!

Happy Fellows
Being a founder is a lonely job. Being a female founder is even more isolating as there are fewer of us around to connect with. TCN brought a group of female founders at similar stages of business together and helped us connect in a meaningful and supportive way. Having this network of peers has been crucial for me on both professional and personal levels.
As a founder, I was trying my best to avoid fundraising as much as possible. However, there is no way to build a healthcare startup with grant money alone, and I had to find a way to conquer my biggest fear — an inexplicable fear of fundraising and speaking to investors. After going through the TCN Fellowship, I now embrace the fundraising process and the many “NOs” from investors. Those NOs were crucial and valuable lessons to getting to YES.
