TCN UpStart Roundtables are monthly gatherings at the Venture Cafe that bring together Boston-area early-stage startups and seasoned entrepreneurs. This free series with The Capital Network, Venture Cafe, and Silicon Valley Bank is a great opportunity for you to ask burning questions about starting a company and meet other like-minded entrepreneurs and resource providers in a casual cafe setting.

Founder of the DAWA Investment Network
Courtney Scrubbs is the Founder of THE DAWA INVESTMENT NETWORK, a new network of women of color, connected both by their hunger for financial liberation and by their professional background in medicine. The network includes physicians at all stages of the medical career life cycle. The members have varying levels of experience with investing, from seasoned real estate investors and angels to complete novices who are looking to better understand their 401K portfolios. They are diverse in many senses, but united by the drive and desire to see the financial cultivation of their families and communities. DAWA Angels are high net-worth women who have obtained accredited investor status, are moderately familiar with investing and are ready to provide capital for a business start-up in exchange for convertible debt or ownership equity. DAWA ANGELS share research and pool their investment capital, as well as provide advice to their portfolio companies. DAWA invests in businesses run by women of color - with their most recent investment in Boston-based Beautylynk..
