10:15 -11:15 Building the team

It is an oft repeated truism that angels and venture capital firms invest in teams more than they invest in ideas and technologies. Topics discussed will include:

  • What is a founder’s role on the management team?
  • Is the current team complete enough for the stage of the company?
  • Does the current team need someone to play an interim role to fill in a critical need?
  • At what stage of the company growth would it be appropriate to have a management reorg?

- Lauren Celano, Propel Careers

- Jill Wittels, Launchpad Venture Group

- David Lucchino, Semprus Biosciences

11:30 – 12:30 Does Your Company Have the Big 3? – Intellectual Property, Regulatory, and Reimbursement

You may have developed breakthrough technology that is safe and effective, but it won’t generate the revenue you anticipate unless it can be properly protected, approved, and reimbursed.  This session will review the three keys to success: Intellectual Property Protection, Regulatory Strategy, and Reimbursement Approval.  Topics will include understanding patent strategy, impacts of design change, clinical trial costing and methodology, and business model integration that dovetails with payor priorities.
