TCN's next Entrepreneur's Financing Roundtable is:
THE BLACK BOX OF VALUATION
November 14th
7:30-9:30am
You are out looking for money and you want to get as much as possible while giving up as little as possible. Can you do it? How does valuation change based upon your company stage, product offering and sales? What terms should you take if you are in a cash squeeze?
Valuation is like the weather in New England. It's hard to predict or control. There are no rules but some common practices and strategies. Get your head out of your business and put it to work on a real world scenario that will sharpen your ability to set a realistic valuation and get money. Our program leaders include:
- Bard Salmon - Serial Entrepeneur, CEO & Investor
- Jerry Kehoe - Senior Partner, Bingham McCutchen
Location: The Emerging Enterprise Center at Foley, Hoag - Waltham
Bay Colony Center, 1000 Winter Street, North Entrance, Suite 4000
Cost: $30 for TCN Members, $60 Members

TCN's Entrepreneur's Financing Roundtables are monthly breakfast or evening sessions cover topics that are essential for entrepreneurs seeking early stage capital. Each session features 2–6 individuals who generously donate their time and expertise to provide more than just the fundamentals.

TCN also provides individualized coaching and invaluable practice in front of the investor community in its Funding Forums. In 2006, TCN will expand coaching as well as continue to find ways for entrepreneurs to make compelling business cases and connections to investors.
In partnership with its sponsors TCN is introducing “roll up your sleeves” Working Lunches to give entrepreneurs a chance to meet with individuals from TCN sponsors, in a small group of peers, to discuss issues and receive individualized advice.
Also new in 2006, TCN will be hosting Community Dinners that are intended to give entrepreneurs access to lessons and insights that can only be attained from a conversation with someone who has ‘walked the walk.’ Some dinners will be investor focused, allowing investors to share ‘lessons learned’ or simply have a chance to meet other investors outside of a pressured deal-oriented discussion.
TCN’s program year ends in June with an expanded Social Mixer and Recognition Event. An enjoyable evening that features prizes such as luxury box seats at a Red Sox game or a private lesson with a race car driver, this event will now recognize both entrepreneurs and investors who found success and/or made a difference.
This website will be updated with detailed information about each of these programs as they are scheduled.
