Heather Onstott is currently the CFO at Freight Farms and has over 20 years of credit and small business experience. Heather is a Venture Partner & Director at LaunchCapital which she joined in 2009 to help create the Small Business division, and acts as an advisor to both portfolio companies and other area startups, specializing in financial modeling and pricing strategies. As a CFO consultant her specialties include: financial analysis, risk management, credit underwriting, contract negotiation, portfolio management, small business operations and financial services consulting.
Pete Basius provides a range of Controller/CFO services with Venture Advisors – from short-term projects to multi-year client engagements that typically result in the sale to a larger company. While he works with many early-stage companies, Pete also assists growth stage companies with special projects such as systems upgrades and IPO and M&A transactions. His daily and monthly client responsibilities include monthly financial reports, multi-entity consolidations, cash/treasury management, finance/administrative team management, contract review, Board of Director reporting, annual operating plan development, financial forecasting, modeling and budgeting , and general corporate governance. Additionally, Pete’s special project experience spans accounting software upgrades and installation, SEC reporting and professional services analytical reviews. Prior to joining Venture Advisors team in 2007, Pete held a variety of financial positons, including VP Finance at ChoiceStream, and Controller at REON Broadband, NetCentric, 4-Sight, and Dragon Systems.
